PlayVersusAI is an independent side project dedicated to building intelligent AI opponents for classic board games. We currently offer four games -- Connect 4, Mancala, Checkers, and Reversi -- each with four difficulty levels ranging from casual play to the most challenging AI you'll find online. Every game is free to play, right in your browser.
Our AI isn't just random moves on easy mode. Each game uses specialized algorithms tuned for that specific game: bitboard representation with negamax search for Connect 4, minimax with alpha-beta pruning for the others. On the hardest difficulty, AI Training, the engine searches as deep as possible within a 2-second time limit using iterative deepening -- and it learns from every game humans win against it.
